Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society

The Fraser Valley Heritage Railway Society now in it's 20 year since incorporation remains 100% volunteer. There are 120 volunteer.
The Society has acquired 4 original BC Electic Interurbans. Three have been restored and two are operational during the summer between Cloverdale and Sullivan/ Over 55,000 people have come out to ride the restored cars. The FVHRS undertakes restoration work all year round. School tours are arranged by appointment. Special events are offered during the year that include a First Responder's Day, Halloween and Christmas events. The volunteers range in age from 18 to 94.
The FVHRS partners with the City of Surrey, including the Museum of Surrey, BC Hydro and Southern Railway of BC.A newly created Surrey Heritage Railway Players group has been created to provide heritage reenactments. Donations support the ongoing restoration and operations.
Volunteer training is provided.
