A fundraiser for SurreyCares Community Foundation will feature Former B.C. Premier Christy Clark in “an intimate and thought-provoking fireside chat” with Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke in celebration of International Women’s Day Celebration. The foundation’s second annual “High Tea” is advertised as “an unforgettable event dedicated to empowerment, inspiration and community impact” at Civic Hotel on Friday afternoon, March 6. The two “trailblazing leaders” will reflect on their journeys to public leadership, the challenges they’ve overcome and the wisdom they hope to pass on to the next generation of women.
