Funding of nearly $340,000 is available for Surrey-area organizations looking to create outdoor play opportunities for kids in the city. SurreyCares Community Foundation invites organizations to apply for funding through Free to Play, a new Canada-wide initiative supporting outdoor play for children “by creating the conditions for them to move, imagine, and connect with others, with room to explore and play their own way.” SurreyCares has $339,500 available to disburse in Surrey during a first intake, with applications due Feb. 24.
