SurreyCares Welcomes Lisa Werring!

SurreyCares Community Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa Werring as the foundation’s new Executive Director.


A non-profit executive with over 30 years in the sector, Lisa’s commitment to the Surrey

community is well known. She served as the Executive Director of the Surrey Christmas Bureau for seven years and has volunteered as a Surrey Library Trustee for the past two years. Lisa brings significant experience in non-profit leadership, strategic planning, public relations and fund development.


We are extremely excited to welcome Lisa to SurreyCares Community Foundation as our new Executive Director,” said Robert Levy, Board Chair. “Lisa brings to the role significant experience in the charitable sector and a proven track record for success, especially in Surrey. We know she aligns with and will be committed to our vision of a ‘giving connected community’ in Surrey, where her efforts can create a significant and long-lasting impact.


“It is a privilege to be offered this role to deliver the SurreyCares vision to our community,”


- said Werring. “I want to thank the Board of SurreyCares for this opportunity, as well as the Surrey Christmas Bureau Board for their support over the past seven years. It is truly an honour to be able to help SurreyCares continue to increase its capacity to support vital local organizations like the Bureau and so many others that do the amazing work that makes our city the best place in B.C. to live, work, learn and grow.
