Your donations and services exemplify the countless philanthropic contributions of organizations, foundations, volunteers and others worthy of global recognition. As the donations we receive for our Smart and Caring Surrey Community Fund are given to social causes such as arts, culture, education, literacy, heritage, immigrant integration, the environment, seniors and much more, we make it easy for your support to reach many projects at once, especially those with greater need.

While our grants touch a lot of people, the need is still acute. When you donate to any of our funds, your donation is “here for good”. Every year, the interest from initial donations is granted out hence our funds grow with time and with new donations from folks who share our vision for Surrey.

We know firsthand how hard our community members work to serve vulnerable populations. The impact of financial gifts, time spent volunteering and other philanthropic actions are what lead to lasting change. We are counting on your support; your gifts are what will help us drive change in Surrey. The $75,000 itself will remain intact as an endowment and we will use the investment income to support a wide variety of general charitable initiatives, but we cannot do so without your support. No gift is too small!

It is crucial that we continue to unite and work together in the philanthropic process to encourage giving and volunteering while demonstrating that charities are worthy of and in need of everyone’s support.
