Provide charitable programs that benefit the citizens of our community and toassist other charities within the community that have similar goals andobjectives.

The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society plays an important role in Surreyby supporting needs that often fall outside traditional services. Becausefirefighters see challenges firsthand, they can respond quickly to individualsand families facing crisis or hardship. Our work focuses heavily on children,youth, and families—providing food programs, bursaries, and support thathelps create better long-term outcomes. As a volunteer-driven organization,funds go directly back into the community, supporting a wide range of localprograms and partnerships. Overall, our impact helps build a stronger, moreconnected, and resilient Surrey.
"What programs or services do you currently offer?"
The Surrey Fire Fighters’ Charitable Society offers a range of programsfocused on supporting families, youth, and individuals in need across Surrey.Key programs and services include: Adopt-A-Family – supports families inneed, especially during the holidays, Bursaries & Ignite a Dream Awards –financial support for students pursuing education, Disaster Assistance –immediate help (food, clothing, emergency funds) for those impacted by crisisor loss. School Essentials – supplies for students who need extra support.Youth sports & recreation programs – including basketball, volleyball, andwrestling events that build confidence and community. Community events &fundraising initiatives – such as tournaments and campaigns that fund localprogramsIn addition, the Society distributes funding to over 150 community programsand partners, supporting areas like health care, mental health, youthdevelopment, and poverty relief.
"Who benefits from your work?"
Primary beneficiaries include children and youth, who receive food, schoolsupplies, and educational bursaries; families in crisis or experiencing financialhardship; and individuals impacted by emergencies or disasters who needimmediate support.In addition, the Society benefits the broader Surrey community by fundinglocal non-profits, health initiatives, youth programs, and community services—helping create a stronger, healthier, and more connected city.
