Cloverdale Community Kitchen
The Cloverdale Community Kitchen (CCK) exists to build a strong and healthy community with a focus on alleviating poverty. Our major area of emphasis is food security for the most vulnerable in our population. Ultimately, our vision is to help Surrey and Langley be a
healthy and caring community for everyone.
With the complex social and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have expanded our services to respond to the growing needs of the community. Donations allow us to continue to run our current programs, while creating new and COVID-safe programs to address increased food insecurity, isolation, and to support those who are sheltering at home. Our current services include:
Community Meals: We provide approximately 270 community meals to the homeless, seniors, and those on disability on site. Meals are currently served take-out style our our front door.
Mobile Meals: We deliver approximately 450 warm meals a week to seniors and other individuals and families that cannot cook for themselves or are sheltering at home.
Fraser Valley Regional Food Bank: We distribute food to 300-400 food bank clients on a weekly basis, as well as
distributing food to recovery houses, community kitchens, and other charitable organizations.
Cloverdale Christmas Hamper Program: We help over 600 households with food, gift cards and toys at Christmas time.
Emergency Weather Shelter: We open our doors from November-March for a 25 bed emergency weather shelter.
Cloverdale Community Cycles: We operate a charity bicycle shop to help the underhoused and low-income persons
who need a bicycle as transportation. Here they can either buy a bicycle or get one fixed by donation.
COVID Food Hampers: We deliver food hampers to marginalized persons affected by COVID-19. This program
is for families or individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 or are in mandatory quarantine without family support to help supply them with food.
