Information Contact us to learn about services, programs, and resources available to those living with or affected by CP. Education We offer disability awareness presentations to schools. Education Bursaries Education bursaries are available for students living with CP who wish to pursue a post-secondary education. Equipment Subsidy Program CPABC is pleased to offer financial assistance for the purchase of assistive devices. Some categories of equipment that are funded include: Communication and Writing Aids, Orthotic Devices, Positioning and Ambulance Aids, Home Accessibility Aids, and Electronic Aids to Daily Living. Camp Subsidy Program Camp subsidies are available each year for members with CP who want to attend summer camp. The funds can be used to cover the cost of camp fees, assistance, and/or transportation. Individual Support Advocacy as well as family and individual support is available. Information and referral specialists connect people with CP with programs and services. Recreational Programs Our Recreational Programs offer inclusive movement opportunities for individuals of all ages with CP across BC. Participants can explore artistic expression through Dance, build long-term flexibility and healthy habits in Adapted Yoga, or engage in Movement Therapy sessions. Designed to accommodate all ability levels, these programs empower members to challenge their mobility and thrive within a supportive group environment. CP Connections Group The CP Connections Group is unique in the sense that it is a support group facilitated by disabled individuals specifically for their peers with disabilities. We understand that acceptance and understanding are key aspects to providing adequate knowledge and support from one disabled person to another. Seniors' Support Group Aging with a disability presents many challenges – medical, financial, social and emotional. Monthly meetings are providing social and recreational opportunities as well as presentations on related topics. For people living with CP and other disabilities, issues of aging can be present at any chronological age. When we use the word “senior” we are not limiting the program to any particular age. Anyone confronting issues of aging, or who self-identifies as a senior is welcome to join us. Here-to-Hear Program Here-to-Hear offers a safe, no-cost space for individuals with CP to connect one-on-one with a compassionate listener to navigate stress, isolation, and mental wellness. Whether you need to vent or seek perspective, this initiative ensures you have dedicated support so you never have to face life's challenges alone. Social Nights Our Social Nights bring members together via Zoom for a fun, virtual gathering to play games and connect. It’s a relaxed space designed to foster friendships and community engagement from the comfort of home. Gamers Club The CP Gamers Club levels up the gaming experience by providing members with adaptive technology and a supportive Discord community. It connects youth and young adults across BC to share experiences, participate in equipment assessments, and game together.
