
Lynne Pearson
Grant Administrator
Lynne was born in Liverpool England and immigrated to Canada in 1974. She considers herself to have had three careers, IT Professional, Not For Profit Executive, and most importantly a Mom.
Lynne has worked and volunteered in the not-for-profit sector for over 27 years, and is now semi-retired. She fulfills the position of Program Administrator for SurreyCares Community Foundation.
Lynne is the former Executive Director of Langley Child Development Centre (now a part of Inclusion Langley Society) and has long term experience with accreditation, leadership, capital campaigns, fund development and, new program development specifically related to services for children and youth who have special needs.
Lynne considers a major achievement while working for the Langley Child Development Centre to be honoured by Kwantlen First Nation at a blanketing ceremony for her work in support of Aboriginal children (Little Feathers, Little Voices).
Lynne has a 33 year old son who has Down Syndrome, a 30 year old daughter in the legal field and two beautiful granddaughters.
Lynne is a seasoned traveller (throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Egypt) and, before having children was employed in the IT sector for 16 years (City of Ottawa, Digital Equipment Corporation, BC Buildings Corporation, Pemberton Securities (now RBC) and, City of Burnaby).
When not playing with her grandchildren, Lynne has eclectic tastes in music, reading and cooking and will always be a staunch advocate for children.
