Born and raised in Surrey, Rob is pleased to be serving as Director for the Surrey Cares Foundation. Rob is the Managing Director of the Surrey based Border Gold Corp., a retail precious metal dealer that is authorized to sell product directly on behalf of the Royal Canadian Mint. He is also a regular contributor on GlobalBC and CKNW Radio, offering commentary on business news and the economy.

The importance of giving back and being apart of the community was impressed upon Rob from a young age. He is proud to have served on several boards to date, including the Southridge Alumni Association and the Abbotsford Airport Authority. Robert also spent time as a Big Brother, a volunteer position that showed him the importance providing dedicated programming for children and youth.

After attaining university degrees from the University of Victoria and Carleton University, Rob was excited to return to the West Coast and plant his own roots back in Surrey. Rob and his wife Angela are excited to raise their two young children in such a great community.
