Debbie moved to Surrey over 30 years ago.

With a background in marketing she has been the co-owner of a Surrey retail store, Zig Zag Boutque for the past 25 years.

With an interest in education she was one of the founding parents of Southridge School where she served as a volunteer for 10 years, then as an employee as the Director of Community Relations. As a volunteer she served as the Board Chair, Chair of Nominating and Governance Committee, Chair of the Executive Committee as well as a member of several other school committees. As a Southridge employee she was responsible marketing, communication, social media, website management and the summer camp program.

Debbie had the honor of being a YWCA Woman of Distinction – Neighbourhood Legend nominee in 2003 and currently serves as an advisor for a number of independent schools.
