Born and raised in British Columbia, Linda trained as a Graphic Designer and worked over 30 years in direct marketing.
A passion for education and community building led her to form a city-wide committee bringing together stakeholder groups to coordinate efforts advocating for increased capital funding for Surrey schools. She served as co-chair of the Surrey District Parent Advisory Council and was a member of the Surrey Board of Trade advisory committee on Post-Secondary education.
As an enthusiastic supporter of public libraries and their role in community and literacy-building, she served four years on the Surrey Libraries Board, three as chair.
She has been recognized for her volunteerism receiving awards for community building, policing volunteer and for her work on the Surrey Libraries Board.
She served four years as a member of the core committee for SheTalks, providing a platform for women’s voices to be heard through conferences, a weekly radio show, a web site and social media channels.
Linda is a strong team leader and member, and a keen listener who enjoys working with others to set and achieve goals.
