Before joining Surrey Cares, Diane served as an independent consultant, assisting non-profit organizations with building their financial viability and improving their internal systems for growth. She brings more than 30 years of non-profit leadership and experience to Surrey Cares.
Diane holds a Baccalaureate and Masters in Business and has a proven track record of taking a vision and making it a reality through positive strategic advancement. She is also a strong believer in volunteerism, and to that end, currently sits on the Board of Dogwood ’25 as their Treasurer.
Diane has a diverse heritage and, subsequently, diverse cultural learnings derived from working with organizations such as Kla-how-eya, Aboriginal Mother Centre, the Jewish Community Centre, Somalia Women’s Empowerment Group, and others.
Diane is Interior Salish from the Tk’emlúps te Secwe̓pemc Nation. She is a happy resident of Surrey who enjoys walking its abundant and beautiful park trails with her husband and grandchildren.
