The Surrey School District tell us there are hundreds of kids going hungry each weekend. Our program is called Starfish Backpack Program, and is designed to assist families with Food security during the weekend. The cost of feeding the family is $600 for the full School year. We provide a Back Pack of food consisting of 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners. 100% of the donations received by the community are used to purchase groceries. Teachers have noticed improvements in children's reading skills, math skills, ability to focus and to do cooperative work. Please help these hungry kids.
